The award
winning photos by Peter Johannes have been published in numerous books,
magazines and calendars both nationally and internationally. With an extensive
education in Art, Peter brings to the world of photography a classic sense
of composition and design, while retaining a feeling of immediacy coupled
with a masterful use of photographic skill. His fine art series entitled
"Images from Beyond the Lens" arouse a range of human emotion as he leads
the viewer into images that are as easily felt as seen. The viewer enters
a world previously undiscovered in two dimensions. His images delve into
areas that are usually considered out of range for photography such as:
Human Suffering, Religion, the Holocaust and the platitudes of the Human
Mind itself. It is a profound journey of the heart, and a wonderment to
the eyes. For thirty years he has photographed a changing world. His landscape
photos range from high in the Rocky Mountains to coastal life in Maine,
with detours to document Amish life in Pennsylvania and the ecosystems
in the depths of the Everglades. His journey is a celebration of all that
lives! Johannes' signed and numbered images are found in collections throughout
the world.
